ABOUT US:

Our ability to work within the tight programme periods required in this increasingly competitive market, is due in no small way, to the relationships built up with our sub-contractors over many years.  Managing the supply chain efficiently ensures that the onsite construction team can meet their deadlines.

To achieve this, we recognise that information transfer and review must be dealt with by return wherever possible.  Sub-contractor motivation is vital for the successful completion of the project; the best way to ensure this is through respect and mutual trust.

As Principal Contractors, we predominantly work in the following sectors:

HEALTH & SAFTEY:

Melbrooke is committed to all aspects of Health & Safety and constantly monitors and advises on all aspects of new legislation and good working practices.

The company has a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy and has an excellent track record regarding safety on sites.

We understand that health & safety is a pivotal and integral part of our performance and to this end, we employ a strategy of training and development, risk assessment and preparation, behavioural change, and continuous improvement, to all our staff in a collaborative and supportive manner.

PROGRAMME:

We fully understand the need for the timely completion of any project. Working within both occupied and unoccupied premises, we are well aware of the stringent measures required to ensure these environments are controlled effectively whilst ensuring project programme is maintained.

In fact, in the Health Sector our work has seen us change programmes and even cease work during critical patient care and treatment, ensuring the hospital daily functions take the utmost priority

COST:

The Melbrooke team always seeks to ensure value for money for our clients.

We believe we contribute in a constructive manner through smart working practices to avoid waste, market testing all supplies to ensure best value without compromising quality. Where savings can be achieved and through Life Cycle Costing analysis, we strive for a healthy balance between capital cost and maintenance cost of building materials and components.
